Commercialization Goals
In accordance with the mandate from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) grant and the NanoTumor Center's interest in driving promising nanotechnologies to clinicians, a plan is under development to facilitate the commercialization of these new technologies.
What you can expect to see in the near future are: A. Collaboration Opportunities 1. Researchers – the primary interest is acceleration of the research with an industry focus in mind. Programs focused on collaborations with research at other institutions will be available. 2. Industry – getting the research from bench to bedside is ultimately the reason for all our efforts. We want to help existing companies expand their portfolio or help build new companies with leading edge cancer nanotechnology platforms. B. Intellectual Property Information on nanotech and/or cancer licensing opportunities will be provided. C. How to get started Questions? Contact Osman Kibar, okibar@ucsd.edu, 858-822-4853.
